Let's ALL Scrapbook

Wow, I didn't think I'd get another blog in before the end of March but Wooo Hooo, here I am.

As you can see from the logo above, Scrapping 4 Inclusion if finally ready to launch the Let's ALL Scrapbook program.

It's nothing fancy, trust me, it's a simple instruction manual that takes a small paper craft idea and puts everything down in step by step instructions so that anyone and everyone can get out there and offer a craft session for children with and without disabilities.

There are many communities out there where there are no inclusive programs for children with disabilities to participate in. The Let's ALL Scrapbook program is designed to make it really easy for anyone to create an inclusive environment for children without being overwhelming. A small step towards bringing inclusion to the kids in your community.

You can download your copy of the manual HERE

Scrapbooking.com will be issuing an article about Let's ALL Scrapbook in their May issue and they are also publishing the information to their business clients over the next couple of weeks. What a great way to get some exposure of the program at all different levels.

Visit the Let's ALL Scrapbook page of our website to view a slide show of photos and a video of the pilot program that was offered at the A.E. Finley YMCA, Raleigh, NC last summer. You'll see just how much fun the children had.

I hope you are inspired to offer a similar program in your area. Please share this information with anyone and everyone you know, someone out there is looking for something fun to do to give back in their own community, you just need to help show them how.

Have a great last day of March.

Happy St. Patricks Day everyone

Well it's March 17th already. Happy St. Patricks Day to all.

Well the New Mexico event was successful. They raised over $500 at last count. Our organizer was busy planning her move at the same time so I have yet to get her to 'guest blog' for us about her event but I'll keep working on it. I think it's important to hear from those at the front lines.

Not much else to report today unfortunately. Boy there really are alot of things that go on behind the curtains that keep me busy that I can't really report on yet. I wish that were a little different but for right now I don't have too much to share.

I have been doing some digital scrappbooking though and it's fun. If I could keep track of the kits/products that I use I would post some layouts but without being able to give credit for where I got the products I really shouldn't post them. I'll try to keep better records of what I used on each layout so I can at least post a few of them. I'm certainly not that good at it yet and there are tons of things to learn but it's exciting to try something new.

I want to mention My Craftivity again as it's a growing social networking site for crafters. I was about the 60th member and they have over 600 now. It's growing quick and people are starting to network with each other. It's FUN, you really should get over there and join.

See ya soon!

Friday once again

It's Friday again, Wow. I love Fridays. It's my regular scrap night with my neighbours.

This week has been quite busy for me. Working on some behind the scenes things that hopefully I can share here really soon.

I will be releasing the Let's ALL Scrapbook program manual after Easter. I'm excited to get this out there in the hands of many people who will hopefully bring this inclusive program to their own communities. Let's ALL Scrapbook is an easy to follow program manual outlining an inclusive scrapbooking program for kids (with and without disabilities). Look for that at the end of the month.

I've been dabbling in digital scrapbooking this week. It's fun! Maybe if I remember over the weekend I'll post some of my layouts so you can see. I think I'll end up being more of a hybrid scrapper in the end.

Look for a blog early next week giving you some details on our New Mexico event that's taking place tomorrow. Maybe if we are lucky and Kris our organizer isn't dead on her feet we might get a 'guest blog' from her. Keep your fingers crossed. It's always exciting to hear from the organizers and I can't wait to start sharing that will all of you (if there's actually anyone reading this blog :))

Cheers and have a great weekend!
Laurie
